How Slash Commands Work
InfinityBot uses a lot of slash commands. These commands can be used for everything, here is a guide on how to use them!
Slash Commands
What are slash commands?
Slash commands are are used to tell the bot what to do. When you are reading through these docs, you can recognize slash commands on the block of text they are in, for ecample; /command
Running a Command
To run a command, simply type it's name in your chat bar and press enter, like in the gif below:

Slash Command Options
Commands can have 2 types of options, required options and optional options.
These options can then also be a selection option. The selection can be everything from a line of text to a role to a user:



If you can't select anything, you will need to type something in the option and press enter.

Required Options
Required options are visible when you use a command. Discord will force you to enter something in them before you can run the command:

Optional Options
Optional options are hiden when you type the command. If a command has any optional options, it will how the text "+1 more" after the other command options. You can then open the optional options by pressing that text, after that, you can select the optional option you would like to fill in.


Menu Commands
What Are Menu Commands?
A menu command is a command that you can access in the menu of a user or message, other than slash commands which are accessed through the chat.
Running a User Menu Command
To get user commands, right-click a user's profile, go to apps and press the command.

Running a Message Menu Command
To get message commands, right-click a user's profile, go to apps and press the command.
